ROCHESTER - James R. Harden, 86, of 31 Watercress Drive, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, after a period of failing health. He was born June 2, 1931 in Trenton, N.J., the son of the late James S. and Grace (Madden) Harden.
He served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. James worked for NJ Bell Telephone Company for 38 years retiring as a lineman. He was a member of The American Legion, Washington, D.C. James enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. For the last 16 years James resided at Tara Estates and was an active member of Tara Estates Activity Council.
Members of his family include his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Seidenglanz) Harden; daughters: Nancy (Peter) Klein of Maryland, Maureen (Scott) Lozier of New Jersey, Joelyn (David) Pray of Massachusetts, Diane (Robert) Boyd of New Hampshire, Tricia (Greg) Reed of Pennsylvania and eleven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson Craig Lozier.
