ROCHESTER - James "Jim" H. Hoyt 62, died on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his three children, following a period of failing health.
He was born Nov. 21, 1961, in Kittery, Maine. Jim was the son of David P. Hoyt and Mary (Vazques) Hoyt. He worked as an Estimator for Palmer & Sicard for many years. He was an avid lover of rock music, fishing in northern New Hampshire at the family camp, riding his Harley, and spending time with his granddaughters.
Jim is survived by his children; Meaghan DeColfmacker, her husband Robert and their children, Ella, Taitley, Amelia and Hannah of East Wakefield; James Hoyt II and his wife Colleen Kellogg of Granby, Conn.; and Mary Hoyt of Rochester; his mother Mary Hoyt of Clearwater, Fla.; his brothers, William Hoyt and his wife Debra of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and David Hoyt Jr. of Rochester, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father David P. Hoyt and brother Michael Hoyt.
