ROCHESTER - James H. Jacobs, 65, died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at Watson Fields Assisted Living Facility following a period of failing health.

Born Jan. 21, 1959, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Harold and Josephine (Currier) Jacobs. He was predeceased by his wife Jan, and his uncles, David and Ronald.

Jim was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1979, and he later worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the Rochester Grange, the Rochester Historical Society, and Bethanny United Methodist Church in East Rochester. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, working with youth, dancing, and Jim had a love for animals especially his pet cows, Blackie and Fred. He was a proud American citizen and had a passion for supporting military veterans throughout his life and would send care packages to servicemembers overseas.

Family members include his aunt, Betty Ann Monahan and several cousins.
