EPPING - An Epping resident died in a morning fire on Wednesday.
Fire and police personnel responded to 153 Coffin Road, Unit 10, in Epping around 7:45 and found heavy fire in a garage.
After sounding a second alarm firefighters began knocking down the fire during which they found one deceased victim, according to a Department of Safety press release sent Wednesday afternoon.
Positive identification of the victim and cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy, which will take place at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Concord today.
The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Epping Fire and Police Departments.
