CANDIA - A 22-year-old Goffstown woman was arrested on Friday after police say she drove erratically on Route 101.
State Police troopers got involved around 4 p.m. after dispatch received multiple calls for a hazardous operator that had entered Route 101 East from Interstate 93.
The suspect vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, was reportedly having severe lane control issues and had almost struck the guard rail several times. While State Police and other law enforcement agencies responded to the area to intercept the vehicle, it left the roadway and entered the median in the area of Exit 5, before turning around so that it was back onto Route 101, but was now westbound, according to a press release.
The suspect vehicle then made it to the area of Exit 3 before law enforcement could locate it, but once again it entered the median, crossed to the eastbound side, and began traveling the wrong direction on Route 101 East.
Shortly thereafter, the vehicle crashed into the guardrail along the right side of Route 101 East. The operator of the Nissan Altima was identified as Jazlyn Hale.
To process the scene, the right lane of Route 101 East was closed for about an hour. Impaired driving appears to be a factor in the crash; however, all aspects remain under investigation. State Police are requesting that anyone who may have information pertaining to the incident to please contact the investigating trooper, Trooper First Class Brian Gacek at Brian.F.Gacek@dos.nh.gov.
