If you build it they will come, and volunteer

MILTON - A massive community project to bring improvements to the ballfield and recreational opportunities at Milton Town Beach continues this weekend with Milton Moose Lodge #1298 and its members committed to helping to resod the ballfield on Saturday.

Moose Lodge former governor Fred Cameron of Cameron's Garden Center, Farmington, is donating materials and equipment toward the returfing effort.

Present Moose Governor Dave Daniels said today that the lodge is hoping many others from the community will show up to help.

"We are urging not only our members, but the Milton community to come out and help on Saturday morning," Daniels said today.

Last weekend a community build successfully put in place a new playground at the beach.

The erecting of basketball hoops on an outdoor basketball court and the improvements to the ballfield are two of the major projects left before everything is pretty much buttoned up, Daniels said.
