Homeless Bangor man dies in tent fire; investigation into cause under way

BANGOR, Maine - On November 10, at approximately 9:14 p.m. the Maine Fire Marhsal's the state Fire Marshal's Office was aske to respond to a fire that occurred inside a tent at 49 Cleaveland St.

The tent was occupied at the time by an adult male who was discovered deceased. The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy will be performed, and positive identification can be established.

Investigators are working closely with the Bangor Fire Department and the Bangor Police Department on the cause and origin of the fire.
