ROCHESTER - Henry W Lizotte Jr., 71, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24, at WDH, after a yearlong battle with cancer and disabling peripheral neuropathy.

He lived in Rochester all his life. He served in the Navy where he was an Optical man, stationed at New London, Conn., Submarine base where he specialized in repair and replacement of periscopes. He was a Manufacturing Engineer who retired after 40 years with Vishay, formerly GFS Manufacturing in Dover. He was a past member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Rochester where he was a Deacon, Sunday-School Superintendent, and musician. He enjoyed playing guitar with his cousin, Bruce Pomerleau, and close friends; Ed Tremblay and Skip Find, in the band Special T.

Later in his retirement, he enjoyed playing guitar with The Thursday Afternoon Band, a local group of musicians. Another of his hobbies was making replica replacement guitar knobs to sell on e-bay.

Henry was predeceased by his parents, Henry Sr., and Florence (Pomerleau, Lizotte) Worster. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen (Sherman) and sister Susan Lizotte of Rochester, a niece Khari Lizotte and her partner Marshall Cummings of Essex Junction, Vt. and their 3 children Briar, Soren and Bristol, 3 aunts: Elizabeth Tufts, Teresa Tolman and Annette Cook, many cousins and many other special friends. There are no words to express how much Henry will be missed.
