MILTON MILLS - The Holidays are fast approaching. Our fall family craft is today between 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. and will be an opportunity to make a wonderful, decorated mug for yourself or to gift a loved one. There are also only a few days left to order gorgeous, fresh holiday wreaths to support the Friends of the Milton Free Public Library Friends Group. While we don't have any movies scheduled for November, we will be returning with a Harry Potter Extravaganza in December! Every Saturday in December will be a double feature of Harry Potter movies, beginning with Sorcerer's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. and continuing through both movies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Dec. 28 at 1 p.m.
There will be free popcorn and Harry Potter themed decorations/activities, please bring a cushion to sit on and your own drink with lid.
Trick-Or-Treat was AMAZING! It is always such a treat to see all the lovely costumes and creativity. A very special thank you to Ms. Barbara who worked hard all evening as the Statue of Liberty, passing out treats of popcorn hands, books and stickers. We're exceptionally grateful for all the behind the scenes work from our community members, including our Trustees, Friends and a few awesome community members who donate additional candy for the kids every year. We sincerely appreciate your assistance in making Halloween a memorable occasion for all our little ghouls and goblins. Join Ms. Barbara for Storytime on Thursdays at 10am!
We'd like to invite everyone by for a visit, and to see the continuing library rehabilitation! The interior stairwell is done and it looks great. All the work wouldn't have been possible without our Town support and the matching NH Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) Grant, awarded in 2022. We are excited to wrap this project and continue working with LCHIP to maintain and improve our unique, architectural and historic Library structure.
