Guardrail work on Route 11 will require lane closures

ALTON - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will begin a guardrail replacement project on Route 11 in Alton, from Wilbert Way to Minge Cove Road on Monday.

This work is weather dependent and will require the use of temporary lane closures between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Road users will utilize one lane of alternating traffic to move through the temporary work zone. Message boards, flaggers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public.

The work is part of the Statewide Tier 2 Paving contract in the Lakes Region on NH Route 25 in Meredith-Center Harbor, NH Route 11 in Gilford, NH Route 11 in Alton and on NH Route 25 in Sandwich-Tamworth.
