ROCHESTER - Gerald Gowen, 83, lovingly known as Jerry, Dad, Papa and Grampa, died on April 30, 2023.

Jerry was best known for his love of the outdoors. In his younger days he enjoyed coaching little league and youth football. He was also an avid golfer and his love for fishing and hunting were a big part of his life. As life went on he was a hard core cribbage player and enjoyed his many outings to the casino with friends and family. Jerry always had a good story to tell for anyone who would sit and listen.

Jerry was a life member of the Elks Lodge #1393, Rochester, and proudly served his country in the Air Force. He was the founder of Tri-City Masonry in Somersworth, and proudly worked with his four children for over 40 years.

He was predeceased by the love of his life Opal. Jerry is survived by his children, Deb and Tim Congram, Wayne and Deb Gowen, George and Diane Gowen and Laurie and Doug Burke. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one sister, 2 brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
