ROCHESTER - Francis J. Cox, 95, died Thursday Jan. 2, 2025, at his home with family by his side.
He was born in Rochester on Aug. 14, 1929, the son of Lester and Angie (Garnett) Cox.
He served in the Army during the Korean War Stationed in Germany.
He had been employed at Simplex Wire and Cable.
Francis was very involved in Scouting serving as Scout Master to Troupe 175, he was also VP of East Rochester Baseball Assn. for many years He played Semipro Baseball in the Sunset League.
He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Cox and 2 brothers Harold and Alvalt Cox
Survivors include nephew Stephen D. Horne, niece Charlotte Wright, great-nephews Robert L. Horne and Stephen L. Horne, great great-nephews Robert L. Horne Jr. and Matthew T. Gaw
