Former Bronx man gets 2 1/2-5 years for trafficking drugs in Rochester

DOVER - A former Bronx, N.Y., man was sentenced on Tuesday in Strafford Superior Court to two and a half to five years in state prison for trafficking drugs in Rochester.
Lawrence Thomas, 59, whose case history lists a home address at Strafford County Jail, was arrested on three counts of drug trafficking in Rochester on Aug. 18.
He was indicted on two of the charges in January: one for possession of cocaine with intent to sell and one for possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell.
Thomas had faced up to 40 years in state prison on the two charges.
He'll take 187 days of pretrial credit due to lengthy stay at the jail.
