EAST LEBANON, Maine - A Lebanon shed was destroyed but a nearby mobile home was spared after firefighters responded to a Maple Street fire on Monday afternoon.
Lebanon Fire and EMS got the call at 2:05 p.m. and while en route learned that the blaze at 24 Maple St. was in a structure just 10 feet from a mobile home which was also beginning to burn, prompting a call for a first alarm.
Lebanon Tank 5 and Ambulance 2 were the first apparatus at the scene, arriving at 2:18 p.m., and found the shed fully involved and spreading to the residence.
The fire was knocked down within a minute, with Sanford Fire arriving with an Engine and a Ladder to assist.

Acton Fire, North Berwick Fire and Rescue, Alfred Fire and the Durham, N.H., RIT team were also requested but were cancelled prior to arrival.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental and will be under investigation by the Lebanon Fire Department along with the Maine State Fire Marshall's office.
One civilian was treated and released at the scene for a minor injury.
All units cleared the scene at 3:34 p.m.
