LEBANON - Saturday's fire that destroyed a Lebanon mobile home on River Road has been found to have been accidental, the State Fire Marshal's Office said on Tuesday.
"It was an accidental fire in a trash bag outside the house," Fire Investigator Mark Roberts said.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m. and quickly spread through the mobile home at 323 River Road.
A dog was rescued from the home, however, the family of four, who was not home at the time of the blaze, was left homeless.
Lebanon Fire and EMS has set up a collection to help the family, who were renting the mobile home and had no insurance. Anyone who would like to help out is asked to drop off donations of money and clothing at Central Station at 3 Upper Cross Road. The couple has two children a 1-year-old girl, sizes 12-18 months; and a 7-year-old boy, sizes 8-10.
