ALFRED, Maine - A Farmington, N.H., woman who pleaded guilty in June in the theft of a truck from Farmington has now been indicted by a York County grand jury for allegedly stealing a second vehicle out of Lebanon the same day.

York County charges against 30-year-old Leah C. Costales, of 52 Oakwood Drive, include one count of theft and one count of receiving stolen property.

Both incidents took place on June 2 when police say Costales and another individual stole a truck in Farmington before ditching it in Lebanon, where they stole the second vehicle, a Jeep.

Costales pleaded guilty to a single charge of theft by unauthorized taking in August in Strafford County Superior Court and received a one-year sentence, all suspended for three years.

Her charges out of Maine could add up to as much as 15 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Tuesday and released Friday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
