ROCHESTER - Fallen Leaf Bistro owner Kris Enis said she's back at work but not behind the counter after she was injured Friday when she was thrown from her motorcycle on Walnut Street (Route 202A).
Enis said the accident occurred around 3 p.m. when a vehicle took a left out off Willey Street onto Walnut Street as she was passing straight through the intersection.
"I slammed on the brakes hard and got thrown off," she said today.
She said an ambulance took her to the Frisbie emergency room, where she was treated for an injured knee, a concussion, sprained wrist and skin abrasions.
Luckily, she said there was no broken bones or internal bleeding and she's expected to have a full recovery.
"I'm here, but I'm not working," she said today. "I'm hurting."
Enis formerly owned Fresh Vibes in Rochester's downtown before opening up Fallen Leaf Bistro across the street at 44 North Main in December 2019.
