Hooking Up with The Second City brings a fresh, fast, and spectacularly funny performance to Rochester Opera House on Friday, April 1 at 8 p.m.
The Second City knows a few things about love - they've been looking at and laughing about relationships for over 55 years. This April Fools' Day, Hooking Up With The Second City makes mirth out of missed connections, girls' night out adventures, and all the crazy things we do for love. This gaspingly funny revue is a modern mix of romance, rancor and everything in between.
The Second City opened its doors on a snowy Chicago night in December of 1959. No one could have guessed that this small cabaret theater would become the most influential and prolific comedy theater in the world. With its roots in the improvisational games of Viola Spolin, The Second City developed an entirely unique way of creating and performing comedy. Mature content.
