With temps near or above the freezing mark most of today, look for a mix of snow and sleet in the Northern Seacoast.
The area will escape much of the heavy snow and wind forecast for Down East, but three to six inches of heavy, wet snow and sleet could fall. Freezing rain could also mix in to elevate the local misery level.
Snow is expected to begin for a couple of hours this morning followed by period of fog as noon approaches.
Snow or sleet should return by 1 p.m. with mixed precip though tonight around 8 p.m.
Highs should top out in the mid-30s with winds remaining light and variable.
Today's storm will be followed by another arctic blast with temps only getting to the mid-20s on Monday and teens on Tuesday.
Any precip in Foxborough, Mass., that could affect the Patriots' playoff game against the Chiefs should be over by game time around 4:30 p.m.
