Eight-year-old girl succumbs to injuries in head-on crash in Loudon

LOUDON - A head-on collision on Route 108 in Loudon on Friday has resulted in the death of an eight-year-old girl and serious injuries to four others.

The crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Route 106 just north of Staniels Road.

Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles, a Toyota 4 Runner driven by Stacy Sargent, 52; and a Mazda 3 driven by Philip Sparacio, 36.

Two occupants of the Toyota 4 Runner were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Three occupants of the Mazda 3 were transported to the hospital, two of whom were children suffering from life-threatening injuries. At the hospital, an eight-year-old child, identified on Monday as 8-year-old Aria Enciso, succumbed to her injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Mazda 3 had been traveling south when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Toyota 4 Runner which was headed north.
