ROCHESTER - A New Hampshire woman was arrested for felony reckless conduct and drunken driving early today after her pickup truck crashed into a snowbank after police say she was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman's vehicle, a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 16, south of Exit 13, when she lost control of the vehicle and drove over the cement island that separates Route 16 south from the Exit 12 northbound on-ramp around 2:45 a.m.

The vehicle then rotated counter-clockwise and came to a final rest facing north in a snowbank on the eastern side of the on-ramp, police said. It does not appear that any other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries reported at the scene.

Jessica Starkey, 22, of Greenland, was charged and released on PR bail with a May court date in the 7th Circuit Court - Rochester District. She was then transported to the Strafford County House of Corrections and placed into protective custody.
