ROCHESTER - Rochester Fire has announced an extensive list of agencies and organizations that will join them on Sunday for a Fire Safety Festival and Parade
The parade starts from Spaulding High School at 8:30 a.m. and ends at the Rochester Common where the festival will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
The parade will feature several businesses, fire departments and public safety agencies from around Rochester and the Seacoast.
The groups taking part in either the parade, the festival, or both include:

In addition, there will be a variety of unique stations that visitors of all ages can explore and take part in at the festival. Among them will be stations and demonstrations dedicated to 911, Stop, Drop and Roll, the Durham Fire Safety House, vehicle extrication, the Hampton Smoke Trailer and fire extinguisher demonstrations.
Children will also have an opportunity to take part in the Junior Firefighter Certification Course and take home a certificate signed by Chief Klose designating them as junior firefighters.
The event will serve as a kickoff to National Fire Prevention Week, which takes place from Oct. 6-12.
"I want to thank all of our public safety and business partners who will be taking part in our Fire Safety Festival," Chief Mark Klose said. "The day will be a great chance to meet first responders, explore the different types of equipment we all use and learn valuable fire prevention and safety skills."
To accommodate the festival, Grant Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The event is free and open to the public.
