CONCORD - The Dover man charged in connection with sending text messages that threatened presidential hopefuls last year was found dead in his car outside a Concord Hospital on Wednesday night.
The death of Tyler Anderson, 30, was deemed to be "not suspicious," according to Concord Police.
Anderson was on trial in federal court in Concord earlier this week after being charged with three counts of threatening to injure another person through interstate commerce.
Concord Police reported that they located Anderson's car inside a parking garage near Concord Hospital around 9:30 p.m. after they had been requested to help locate him.
Upon seeing a body in the back seat alongside harmful chemicals in the vehicle police dispatched a hazardous chemicals team to the scene. Anderson was declared dead, according to safety officials.
The case against him was dismissed after his death, the U.S. Attorneys Office confirmed.
According to the charging documents, Anderson received a text message from the one of the victim's campaign notifying him of a political event in Portsmouth. Anderson responded to the text message on Dec. 8 by stating: "Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!" and "I'm going to kill everyone who attends and then f*** their corpses."
The targeted victims of Anderson's threats included Republican presidential candidates Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley and Chris Christie.
While the death was ruled "not suspicious," the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
