Dover Applebees' chicken breast could be the best

Applebee's grilled chicken plate (Rochester Voice photo)

We've had our share of grilled chicken dishes at pretty much every restaurant in the Northern Seacoast, but after all that, the best of the best could easily be found at the Dover Applebees.
Now all the restaurants in the chain could be on the same page, but I can only speak for the Dover location near the Week's Crossing intersection where I was absolutely mesmerized by this most savory selection.
The consistency and seasoning of the chicken breast grilled-to-perfection begged me to finish the generous portion to the point of gluttony, but with great and enviable self-discipline I saved half the plate for the next day's lunch.
The protein came with two sides from which I chose garlicky mashed potatoes and garlicky green beans. They, too, were absolutely flawless with the beans coming out al dente to perfection and the potato rich in garlicky goodness.
Another thing I like about Applebees is they list the calories (550) along with the price ($13.59), which both suited me just fine.
To top the experience off we had a waitress who was very attentive and brought our meal in just 10 minutes.
What's not to like about that!
