FARMINGTON - Doug Boudreau of Farmington died peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020, after a brave and valiant battle with leukemia. He was born in Wellesley, Mass., and attended the Wellesley Public Schools as well as Mass Bay Community College. He was the son of Natalie and the late J. Ernest Boudreau.

He was an independent owner/operator for many years under the name Boudreau Trucking, Doug traveled all over the United States delivering all types of cargo and making many friends along the way. In recent years he joined the team at Walmart and was a driver for them throughout the New England States. At Walmart he struck up a friendship with Jim Bernier who ended up being like a brother to him. Doug, Jim and Jim's wife enjoyed many motorcycle trips through northern New England and were planning already for this summer's trip. Jim and Doug also enjoyed being ham radio operators with Doug's call sign KC1LEI - for those of you who might recognize it.

Doug loved everything about the outdoors. He enjoyed working on his property with his heavy equipment and was making plans to build a new home there. As a boy he was active in Scouting and was a true patriot - he loved his country. He was always there to help someone in need, never asking for himself. He had his own sense of humor and as his boss Ron mentioned, was "a vibrant soul with an appetite for life that was reflected in his love of food." He loved getting together with friends, neighbors and family and he loved a good meal.

He leaves behind his mother, Natalie, his sister Cindi and her husband Brian Denn, and two four-legged nephews, Buddy and Eli, his cousin Richard Packard, his wife Tina and many cousins, aunts and uncles that were so important to him.

The family would like to thank Jim, Ron and Doug's Walmart family for all that you have done for him. We really are so grateful.
