Doris O'Gara ... enjoyed gardening, quilting; at 81

ROCHESTER - Doris O'Gara, 81, died on Nov. 18, 2024, after a period of failing health and battling Vascular Dementia.
Doris was born in Fall River, Mass., the daughter of George Cadoret and Eva Marie (Desforges) Cadoret.
She attended Jesus Mary Academy where she graduated in 1960 with her high school diploma.
Doris and her Husband moved to Deerfield in 1979 to get away from the hustle of city life and start small country living in a home that her husband built.
Doris worked various office administration positions at the Concord Clinic, Orr & Reno law firm and at her final place of employment, the Federal Defenders office, an accomplishment that she was very proud of as the office manager. She retired after 14 years of service in 2009.
Doris was passionate about cooking, baking, gardening, and quilting, often pouring her heart into these activities and sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
Doris was a devoted Nana who cherished spending time with her grandkids, even if it meant freezing at any of their activities. She always was there for her family supporting them in whatever needs they had.
She also had a soft spot for animals as there were always some type of pet in the house her entire life. From ducks and geese to guinea pigs, dogs, goldfish and her favorite; cats. At one point, caring and having 7 of them all at once.
Doris is survived by her two sons, John O'Gara Jr. and his wife Lisa, of Deerfield; and Michael O'Gara, and his wife Melissa, of Rochester. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Timothy and his wife Brooke, McKayla, Patrick, Rhiannon and Addison.
Doris is predeceased by her husband John O'Gara Sr., her daughter Patricia O'Gara and her grandson Kyle O'Gara.
