Donation drive for Strafford County Homeless Shelter now under way

ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Holiday Events Committee is looking to collect items to benefit the Homeless Center for Strafford County.

Donations of the items listed below may be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce located at 18 South Main St. in Rochester through Dec. 15, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items can also be dropped off at the Holiday Tree Lighting event being held on Dec. 1, at 5:30 p.m. in Central Square, Rochester. Look for the red sleigh near the Parson Main statue.

The Homeless Center for Strafford County is currently seeking the following items:

  • Advil
  • Allergy meds/Benadryl
  • Antibiotic ointment
  • Children's Tylenol
  • Cold medicine (adult and children)
  • Cotton balls
  • Napkins
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Paper towels
  • Peroxide
  • Powdered Creamer
  • Sugar
  • Sweet 'n' Low / Equal / Splenda
  • Tissues
  • Toilet Paper
  • Trash Bags
  • Tylenol
