Don Shepherd ... enjoyed camping; at 71

ROCHESTER - Don Shepherd, 71, of Rochester, died on July 1 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born September 29, 1951, in Beverly, Mass., to Otis and Eleanor Shepherd. After moving to New Hampshire, Don worked as a mechanic for 31 years at Textron and was a pipefitter with Local 131 until his retirement.

Don enjoyed traveling and camping with his wife and friends. He would always be up for a game of dice or Let It Ride with friends and family. Don enjoyed attending car shows with his "No Toy", going to the gym and riding his Harley.

He was predeceased by his parents, aunts, and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 37 years, Cathie Shepherd, son Brian Shepherd and his wife Molly, daughter Cristie Makengo and her husband Marquis, daughter Carrie Daniels and her husband Mike, daughter Katrina Reible and her husband Josh, grandchildren Nathaniel and Elias Shepherd, Gregory and Gage Macintosh, Vincent and Roy Glidden and Aiden Daniels, Evelyn and Logan Reible, and great grandchildren Carson and Justin. He is also survived by his beloved Aunt Bev. and cousins.
