MILFORD - A Derry teenager fatally shot near a Milford Dollar General on Thursday died from a gunshot wound to the back, according to the state's Medical Examiner's Office.
The autopsy also confirmed that the death of Gage Cassen, 18, was a result of homicide, meaning he was killed by another person.
Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg determined Cassen's death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the back.
Around 8:26 p.m. 911 dispatchers received a phone call for gunshots being fired outside of Dollar General at 70 Wilton Road in Milford. Upon arriving responding officers discovered evidence of multiple gunshots being fired in the parking lot. Investigators were led to the rear of the property where they found a deceased adult male, who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.
