Denneth W. Lee ... railroad enthusiast; at 83

BARRINGTON - Denneth W. Lee, 83, of Barrington, died on Feb. 6, 2023 after a brief battle with pneumonia. He was born March 24, 1939, in Rochester.

The son of Perley I. and Mabelle E. (Bennett) Lee. Denneth was a graduate of Dover Senior High in 1957, located in Dover. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1961. He worked at the Lee Greenhouses, was a carpenter, and eventually retired as a truck driver from Roadway trucking.

Hobbies and clubs include: Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club (CVRTC), Maine Gardening Railway Society, 470 Railroad Club, NH Garden Railway Society, and Mass Bay Railroad enthusiasts'. He was also a life member of WW&F Railway & Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Denneth is survived by his spouse, Judith M. (West) Lee, of 57 years. His children: Linda Lee, Eric Lee, Jason Lee, Wendy Hixson and her husband Donovan, and William Lee and his wife Anna. Denneth was affectionately known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Grumpy." This includes his 3 Grandchildren, Michelle Bennett and her husband Lance, Krista Lee and her wife Tayler, and Jack Hixson. 3 Great grandchildren. Benjamin Lee, Carter Bennett, and Olivia Bennett. With 3 bonus Great grandchildren of Adam Bennett, Gavin Bennett, and Skylar Sunderland. He is also survived by his many cats.
