ROCHESTER -- City residents have until Tuesday to change party affiliations for the state primary and presidential elections.
The state primary is scheduled for Sept. 8, and the presidential election is set to be held on Nov. 3.
The City Clerk's office will be open Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Party affiliation change requests can also be mailed to the City Clerk's Office, 31 Wakefield St. Rochester, NH 03867 or dropped off in the City Clerk's drop box at 19 Wakefield St.
Completed applications that are mailed in or dropped off must be signed by a witness.
In addition, the Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Tuesday 7-7:30 p.m. in order to accept new voter registrations, party changes, and other changes.
All eligible voters will be able to use absentee ballots for the State Primary and Presidential Election.
Absentee ballot applications can be found at http://sos.nh.gov/ElecForms2.aspx. Completed applications can be mailed to: City Clerk's Office, 31 Wakefield St., Rochester, NH 03867. Once the application is processed, ballots will be sent to the resident's home or mailing address and must be returned to the City Clerk's Office.
