The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will be performing daytime utility work under the Spaulding Turnpike near Exit 3 in Newington for the next two weeks beginning today. Work will not be performed during the weekends and should be completed by Sept. 13.

NH State Police will lead rolling roadblocks as needed, both northbound and southbound, along the Spaulding Turnpike between exits 1 and 6 to allow construction crews to safely complete the work. A concrete barrier with a sand barrel array will also be installed on the southbound slow lane shoulder, at mile marker 2.95, to protect crews during the construction.

Road users should expect some delays during construction and are advised to be alert, obey all posted signs, and reduce speed through the work zone.

Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
