MILTON MILLS - Happy Fall! Pumpkins, colored leaves, crisp apples, and spookiness, are some of the wonderful things about this season. McKenzie Farm has generously donated a family 4 pack of doughnuts, pumpkins, and fresh picked apples that we will be giving away to one lucky family (chosen at random) this month.
Our display table is featuring some spooky (and not so spooky) reads this month for all ages. Our fall family craft on Saturday, October 12 between 10:30am - 12:30 pm will be assorted sizes and colors of fabric to create your own HOT or cold pack. Fill it with rice, and drizzle with the essential oil of your choice for lovely aromatherapy. Come back Saturday evening, October 12 at 6pm for our FREE Movie and Popcorn event. We will be showing Inside Out 2 (PG) on our big screen. Please bring a cushion to sit on and your own drink with lid.
Our second October scheduled FREE Movie event is a Ghostbuster double feature on Saturday, October 26 starting at 1pm with a brief break between movies. We will be showing Ghostbuster Afterlife and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire. Please arrive by 12:45 pm to take your seat and acquire popcorn. Please bring a cushion or blanket to sit on, and drinks with lids. We will refresh the popcorn at intermission, which will be at approximately 3pm and plan on starting the second Ghostbusters movie, Frozen Empire at 3:30pm for anyone who would like to come for only the second movie. All ages welcome, but please note that the Ghostbusters movies are both rated PG-13.
Trick-Or-Treat in Milton Mills October 31, 5-7pm We'll have free books and treats out front in keeping with the festivities on Halloween for all the little ghouls and goblins.
Finally, if you stop by this month you may notice the dust (and construction) continues. Our roof work on the main building is complete! Interior work on our stairwell will begin the week of October 14. We are grateful for our matching NH Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) Grant, awarded in 2022. We will remain open for Fall hours during the improvements.
