Cornerstone offers free 'lunch and learn' webinar on avoiding falls

ROCHESTER - In recognition of National Fall Prevention Awareness Month, Cornerstone VNA is offering a free "Lunch and Learn" webinar for community members. The webinar, titled "Stay Upright! Tips for Fall-Free Living," will be held on Wednesday noon-1 p.m.

Attendees will learn strategies to improve balance and prevent falls, as well as simple home modifications to increase safety. The presentation will cover statistics on falls, contributing factors within the home environment, and the physical changes that occur with aging. This informative webinar will be presented by Karen Krause, PT, COS-C, AIB-VRC, Cornerstone VNA's Rehab Manager.

"Fall prevention education is vital because it empowers individuals to stay safe and independent, reducing the risk of life-altering injuries," said Julie Reynolds, president and CEO of Cornerstone VNA. "By learning how to prevent falls, we not only protect physical health but also preserve quality of life and peace of mind."
