The accident shut down the northbound side of the interstate (NHSP photo)
HOPKINTON - A commercial vehicle rolled over on Interstate 89 today, blocking northbound lanes for a couple of hours.
The crash occurred around 5:10 a.m. at mile marker 8.6 when the truck struck the right-hand guardrail. overcorrected and came to rest on its side.
The driver was extricated by state troopers and transported to a local hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
The interstate was shut down for around two hours while the truck was removed. Neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in this crash, safety officials said.
