Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day, sunny, with highs around 60 degrees, a perfect day to rake the lawn, clear debris after the winter and maybe tend to your flower and vegetable beds.
But make no mistake about it. Lebanon needs you more than your lawn.
Tomorrow at 2 p.m. the Public Hearing on the ballot will be heard at Lebanon Elementary School.
There are many issues going on in Lebanon that are proving thorny to many, including a huge increase in the fire chief's pay, a nearly half-million dollar Fire and EMS budget, the move from part- to full-time for the code enforcement officer, the breaking up of the roads budget into three separate items and a proposal for a half-million dollar fire truck.
The budget committee voted against all the above budgets as well as the transfer station budget and the default budget, so the logistics are in place to bring those departments to a crashing halt come July 1 if no interim budget is passed between May 10 and the end of June.
After tomorrow's hearing, all that's left is the voting, so tomorrow is your last chance to make your voice heard and advocate for your position.
Plus you got all summer to rake the lawn for gosh sakes.
