Lebanon Selectman and Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole told The Lebanon Voice in an email on Friday afternoon that he had been reinstated with the City of Rochester as its Director of Communication and Records for the Police Department.
He said he will receive all of his back pay and benefits, though in his email he didn’t explain the process of benefits reimbursement.
Cole was placed on administrative leave by the city on Feb. 1, and his employment was terminated soon after.
Cole’s annual salary with the city in February was listed as about $55,000 plus a benefits package, which means the city owes him more than $27,000 in back pay.
He said he could comment no further unless his union attorney was consulted.
The Lebanon Voice, which learned of his reinstatement early Thursday, made several attempts to contact Rochester City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick, but phone calls were not returned.
