City woman accused in August DV stabbing incident

DOVER - A Rochester woman accused of stabbing a household member with a knife multiple times could face up to 15 years in state prison following her indictment by a Strafford County grand jury last month. Wendy Wright, 44, of Washington Street, is accused of attacking a family or household member with a knife on Aug. 16 in Rochester, according to the charging documents. The indictment alleges Wright stabbed the victim "multiple times causing lacerations to the head, chest, arms, arm pit and left buttock." The most recent Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down Dec. 19 and released to the public last week. An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been brought forward to warrant moving forward to trial.
