ROCHESTER - Civics 101 is a one-time course designed to empower Rochester residents and business owners with the knowledge and skills needed for active citizenship.
The interactive presentation and discussion provides tools for understanding how local government works and how individual actions can drive change.
The course outlines several topics, including 'How Rochester's Municipal Government Works', 'How to Find Information', 'How to Vote 'How to Make Your Voice Heard', and 'How to Get More Involved'.
Civics 101 is held at various times of the year in order to accommodate as many working schedules as possible. There is no cost for participation.
Sign-ups are available now for the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, March 11, 2025 (9:00 am - 10:30 am)
- Tuesday, July 8, 2025 (6:00 pm - 7:30 pm)
- Saturday, November 8, 2025 (9:00 am - 10:30 am)
