City man dies in rollover at intersection of Milton Road and Spaulding Ave.

ROCHESTER - A city man died Sunday night when police say the car he was operating rolled onto its side near the corner of Milton Road and Spaulding Avenue, ejecting him from the vehicle.

Police, fire and Frisbie EMS responded to the crash scene around 9:40 p.m., where they found Good Samaritans attempting to revive the victim who was unresponsive.

Emergency personnel took over but were unable to revive the victim, who was identified as Angel Madina Castro, 48 .

The vehicle, a 2005 Hyundai Elantra, appeared to have flipped over and came to rest against a tree, sustaining heavy damage.

The area was shut down and traffic rerouted for two hours while emergency crews tended to the scene.

Police say speed and alcohol may be contributing factors to the crash, which remains under investigation at this time.
