ROCHESTER - Charles Raymond Abraham, 91, of Rochester, died on May 11, 2024, in Sebastian, Fla., with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 8, 1933, in Dover, he was the youngest son of Joseph and Delia Abraham (Spragg).

Charles was born and raised in Dover. After graduating from Dover High School, Charles, or Charlie as he was known to his family and friends, felt the call to serve his country and valiantly enlisted in the Army. After his service he met the love of his life Kaaren, and they were together for 48 amazing years.

After moving around New Hampshire and Southern Maine, Charles finally settled down in Rochester with his wife Kaaren in 1977 and lived there ever since. Charlie worked for 42 years at the A&P Supermarket in Somersworth, serving as manager of that location for many of those 42 years. Through his position as manager Charlie got to know the people of Dover and Somersworth and was quickly a fixture of the town.

After his retirement Kaaren and Charlie began their idyllic snowbird lives, spending 6 months out of the year in sunny Florida. Together they enjoyed playing shuffleboard and golfing often, but Charlie's true passion was Cribbage. He was sharp as a tack and won nearly every game he played. Charlie and Kaaren were truly meant to be together and even in his later years he always did everything he could for his bride.

Charles is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Delia Abraham, his brothers Robert and Donald, and his sister Vera. He is survived by his true love Kaaren Abraham, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Charlie had the biggest heart and his love shown through for all to see. He is going to be truly missed by all those who got to be a part of his life, see that beautiful smile of his, and feel some of the love he had in his heart.
