Candidate filing for November election begins Sept. 8

ROCHESTER - The city of Rochester has announced that the filing period for municipal elections will begin in September with the voting to take place on Nov. 7. The Municipal Election offers opportunities for voters to elect representatives for the following positions:

Mayor
City Council
School Board
Police Commission
Election Officials

The filing period for candidates will open on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. All potential candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and responsibilities associated with the positions before submitting their applications. The filing period will close on Sept. 25 at 5 p.m.
