Busy Bee specializes in that special sauce that takes coffee to next level

ROCHESTER - The Busy Bee on North Main Street is looking to create a unique space where coffee lovers can hang out in a comfortable setting and enjoy their java.
And it looks like they have.
Behind the serving area there are a couple of rooms to relax in, including a game room with a magnetic scrabble board on one of the walls.

Owner David Mather said he's been in food service for 14 years working in everything from fast food to fine dining and has wanted to open his own business for years.
He opened the Busy Bee on Sunday during Rochester's Porchfest.
"We got totally slammed," he said on Monday prior to a Rochester Chamber ribbon cutting. "I thing we had like 350 orders."
Mather said his focus is on delicious coffee, but his passion is in making three special sauces that take a cup of coffee to the next level.
"We have three sauces - caramel, pumpkin and mocha - that we make from scratch and they taste great," he said.
The Busy Bee also serves homemade chocolate chip muffins and pumpkin bread.
Those allergic to gluten can enjoy gluten free apple crisp and chocolate cake, which this writer sampled and was delicious.
Mather said he expects to add breakfast and lunch sandwiches in the spring.
The Busy Bee is open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
