Body pulled from waters off York Harbor Beach

YORK, Maine - A body was pulled from the waters off York Friday afternoon after responders received a 911 call for a possible drowning. The call came in to York Dispatch around 3:55 p.m. for a possible drowning offshore at Harbor Beach. A rescue boat operated by York's Harbor Master was able to bring the victim to shore on Western Point Road where resuscitation efforts were made, according to a Friday press release from York Police Patrol Sgt Brian McNeice. The victim was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending family notification.
