ROCHESTER - Bluegrass singer, songwriter, and guitarist Cecil Abels will be the feature performer at this Friday's Factory Court Brown Bag Concert in downtown Rochester.
Hailing from Mississippi, Abels is also known to many as "Mr. Sippy" and is often found playing with the Oakratones.
The Factory Court Brown Bag Concerts are held weekly through August 28. In case of inclement weather the concerts are cancelled at 10 a.m. Free parking nearby is available at the North Main, Union, and Congress Street Parking lots. Appearing on Friday, July 24 will be the "Two For the Road". The Teddy Bear Picnic is at noon on July 30 in Central Square. There will be activities and games for all.
Underwritten by Citizens Bank and a grant from the NH State Council On The Arts, the Factory Court Brown Bag Concerts are held on Fridays from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. through Aug. 28. Concertgoers are asked to "bring a chair and buy or bring a lunch" to enjoy a musical performance in the heart of downtown Rochester.
