MILTON - McKenzie's Farm will hold a craft beer tasting today with all proceeds from beer sales going to help a local family who lost their home to fire on Wednesday.
"The (Corso) family is still in shock over this tragedy and have chosen to keep things private until they can get there heads back on straight," said Alesia Palmer, who set up a Go Fund Me page to help the family who lost everything in the blaze.
Palmer said thankfully they all got out alive, but a cat, Duck, remains missing and is feared dead.
Brett McKenzie of McKenzie's Farm has indicated that the beer tasting featuring Hobbs Brewing of Ossipee will now be a fund-raiser for the Corsos, with all of the proceeds from beer sales going directly to the family, who lost their home at nearby 50 Northeast Pond Road on Wednesday.
In addition, McKenzie said that half of all Saturday sales at McKenzie's Farm will also go to the Corsos.
The fire at 50 Northeast Pond Road, which was called in around 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, drew fire crews from surrounding towns and as far away as Ossipee.
Six occupants at the dwelling and their dog all got out safely.
Palmer said everyone displaced by the fire is doing fine considering the circumstances and staying with friends and family.

McKenzie's Farm is located at 71 Northeast Pond Road in Milton.
A Go Fund Me page has already raised more than $5,600. To make a donation click here.
