Bedford homicide victims died of machete wounds, strangulaton

CONCORD - The two men found dead inside a Bedford motel on Saturday died of machete wounds and strangulation.

An autopsy revealed that Nathan Cashman, 28, of Manchester, who was found dead in the lobby, died of machete wounds to the head, neck and body; while David Hanford, 60, of Seaside Height, N.J., whose body was in one of the hotel rooms, died of ligature strangulation, which means a cord or rope was used.

The bodies were found at the Country Inn and Suites in Bedford after police responded around 7 p.m.

Theodore Luckey, 42, of Ashbury Park, N.J., was charged with two counts of second degree murder and three counts of being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

Luckey continues to be held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
