PORTSMOUTH - A 21-year-old Barrington man injured Sunday when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle remains in critical condition at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. in the area of Washington Street and Estes Road when police say a car and motorcycle operated by Joseph Ford of Barrington collided.
When emergency crews arrived they found Ford lying on the ground near his heavily damaged motorcycle. The car involved in the crash, a 2011 Ford Mustang, was also in the middle of the intersection.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that Ford's 2016 Harley Davidson Touring motorcycle was traveling west on Washington Street when it collided with the Mustang, which was driven by Michael Selig, 61, of Hull, Mass. Police say Selig was turning onto Washington Street from Estes Road when the two vehicles collided.
Ford was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, while Selig was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the Mustang was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by Rochester Police.
