Autopsy finds that man found inside burning mobile home did not die due to fire

SOMERSWORTH - The cause of death of a Somersworth man found dead inside his burning mobile home was not caused by the fire, an autopsy confirmed on Sunday.

Firefighters responded around 11:40 a.m. on Friday for a report of smoke billowing from the home.
When firefighters arrived at 79 Crystal Springs Way they found flames coming from the structure, and inside the body of a man identified as 63-year-old Kevin Shea of Somersworth.

The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the State Fire Marshal's Office and Somersworth Fire and Police.

Following the autopsy it was determined that the cause of Shea's death was not related to the fire. according to a release from Somersworth Police sent out today, however, they did not reveal what, in fact, may have caused it.
