ROCHESTER - Arthur Arnold Norman, 83, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 after a brief illness in Rochester. He grew up in Bethlehem, born in 1937 to William and Inez Norman.
After high school he joined the Air Force and served for 20 years, 1956 to 1976. He retired from the Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska. While serving, he married Lorraine LaBlond of Rochester in 1959. Born to Lorraine and Arthur were Robert (Robbie) and Todd, both loving sons.
During his service, they lived in Iceland and New York. They continued to reside in Alaska after he retired from the Air Force and he joined a company as a Beverage Salesman. They returned to live in Rochester in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Norman, his mother and father, Inez and William Norman, and his sister Agnes Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Norman, both sons, Robbie and Todd Norman, Jeannie Clark Cornell, his sister, and Betty Holt, another sister, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and his great-grandchildren. Robbie lives in Anchorage, Alaska, and Todd lives in Vancouver, Wash.
He made wonderful woodworking craft, and sold them in local woodworking shows. He was always the life of the party, wearing silly hats while skillfully playing his harmonica.
